Mobile Alumni ChapterPolemarch’s Message
Welcome!
I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to our esteemed virtual community on behalf of the Mobile (AL) Alumni Chapter (the MAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc®. Our chapter holds the axiom, “Whatever is done must be done well and at the highest standards.” As the 21st Polemarch of this distinguished Chapter, I am fully committed and delighted to provide exceptional leadership to our members and the community we serve. The city of Mobile is known as the Port City and home of Mardi Gras; hospitality is our way of life. Let us show you the spirit of Brotherhood and the charm of a Kappa Man!
Our ten founders believed the key to organizational and personal success is “Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor.” This chapter was incorporated and chartered on May 27, 1950, and we currently celebrate our 73rd year of personal, social, and community accomplishments. Members within our chapter have excelled in many aspects of life, such as Attorneys, Clergy, Doctors, Educators, Engineers, Entrepreneurs, Judges, Politicians, and Military Veterans. We will continue to unite, encourage, promote, and inspire men of exceptional character to foster an environment of achievement among youth and the college men in our community.
Through our Guide Right Program, our chapter has significantly impacted the young people in our community. We take pride in the recognition we have received for our program's excellence, which has helped our members receive scholarships totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that our youth receive the best advice, mentoring, and support possible, and we are committed to continuing our dedication to these programs. With a 100 percent graduation rate from high school and 89 percent of those graduates moving on to college, we are proud to say that our efforts have paid off. We aim to create a legacy of young men prepared to take on leadership positions and secure a brighter future for all.
Our chapter is truly blessed to have an exceptional group of experienced Senior Kappas and 50-year Kappas in the Southern Province. This has provided us with an unwavering foundation for leadership and unparalleled knowledge of our fraternity. We take immense pride in the fact that MAC is home to a plethora of esteemed individuals who have held numerous vital positions within the organization, including the 23rd Grand Polemarch, a Past Editor of the Kappa Alpha Psi Journal, a Past Southern Province Polemarch, a Southern Province Keeper of Records and a Southern Province Keeper of Exchequer, Field Investigator, and the current Southern Province Polemarch. Moreover, members of MAC have been bestowed with the prestigious Elder Watson Diggs award and the Guy Lewis Grant award, further cementing our chapter's unparalleled reputation.
I strongly encourage you to explore our website and learn more about the Mobile (AL) Alumni Chapter (the MAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc®. We are grateful for your interest and hope to have your unwavering support for our philanthropic and community endeavors. As we strive for ACHIEVEMENT, we invite you to join our parade as we embrace the spirit of "Laissez les bon temps rouler."
